Inspired by the Victoria era Sandro‘s Founder and Artistic Director Evelyne Chetrit adds a twist to the Fall 2017 line up.
From dresses, cropped jackets to hoodies and playsuits, the collection includes ruffles, lace, brocade and brooches to create easy-to-wear shapes for the season. From a navy sweater with a single bold scarlet-edged ruffle running from left shoulder to navel to a cute bomber with interlinked guitars, rose embroideries, and an emblem that read girls can dream, there were many desirable and, vitally, affordable pieces here. It didn’t look new, but it looked good.
The collection added a mix of textures like printed silk blouses with sailor tattoo motifs, slogan tops with catchphrases like: “Girls can dream” and “Just love u.”
This season also spotlighted a retro sports aesthetic with varsity sweaters and pleated dresses. The result was ensembles made for contemporary women that combined an on-trend street look with feminine and dainty accents.
