After debuting the Chanel Pre-Fall 2017 Paris Cosmopolite collection at the Ritz Paris in December, the French Maison has unveiled the transitional season’s advertising campaign starring models Vittoria Ceretti and Natalie Westling.
Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld against a gray studio backdrop, the pair embrace in several shots wearing luxe tweeds, paillette embellished pieces and luxe velvets. The looks are embellishment heavy with shades of gold and bronze mixed with black in several of the photos.
With an ode to the ’60’s, the collection features sparkle, sequins, gold metallics, even gold-dipped feathers naturally became a festive-looking thread in the Métiers d’Art collection. The runway show featured skinny knit silvery dresses, a gorgeous white lace poet-sleeved blouse with a black leather cape and pants, a navy sheared mink tailored coat piped in gold leather, and tiered skirts flouncing out from narrow dropped-waist bodices.
The campaign was more of a minimalist take on the elaborate location at the Ritz, however Carine Roitfeld styled the shoot spotlighting the intricate details of the collection while Tom Pecheux focused on hair and makeup was by Sam McKnight.
