The Row Pre-Fall 2017 collection is simple and stately as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen borrow from their own effortless styles to create a line that is chic but bold.

With a stark palette of white, black and grey and crisp silhouettes in super luxe fabrics, the collection is a minimalist’s dream.

With the exception of a ruffled blouse, there are no frills or unnecessary extras. The collection features streamlined silhouettes with suiting, a body-limning tank dress, and the sine qua non of sleek, fitted turtlenecks—most of it suggestive of ’90s minimalism.

The wares are shot by Zoë Ghertner on a bare background to focus more attention on the quality and weight of the luxury basics. The Olsens nonetheless delight in details, such as the pillowy, allover ruching on a bodice or the variations in weave on a silvery gray coat.
