Shot by french photographer Brigitte Lacombe, the campaign for the Christian Dior Fall 2017 ad campaign by Maria Grazia Chiuri captures Jennifer Lawrence just as she is. In a series of black and white photographs the actress and house muse appears both elegant and relaxed, unposed and without artifice.
The clothes she wears correspond to her own personal style as a young woman of today: a bar jacket over a statement t-shirt, pumps or J’Adior ballet flats worn with jeans… A faultless balancing act of comfort with a touch of sophistication. The star’s natural attitude is enhanced by strong accessories such as multiple rings, good-luck necklaces featuring birds or stars, and, in particular, the season’s emblematic bags, worn cross-body or carried in the hand. Among these is the iconic Lady Dior, which Maria Grazia Chiuri has revisited with new charms and a bohemian-look broad shoulder strap.
In addition are the artistic director’s new creations for fall: the vintage allure of the C’est Dior, inspired by a bag held in the house’s archives, and the DiorAddict, a new essential, with its cannage pattern and a clasp borrowed from old trunks.
