In celebration of the holidays the Christian Louboutin ‘The Shoemaker and The Stars’ film a whimsical fairytale about a young shoemaker who sets out to create shoes that will be as beautiful as the night sky.
Featuring styles from the Spring 2017 collection, the story is brought to life in a series of illustrations as well as special holiday window displays at 36 of Christian Louboutin’s global flagship boutiques. The films casts the spotlight on two standout styles from the Women’s Spring 2017 collection, which showcase the designer’s ongoing quest to balance femininity, ingenuity, wonder and desire in his designs.
The film tells the story of an artisan in a high tower, bestowed with the magic to create the world’s most desired shoes. The shoemaker wanted only to share his gift with the women and men of #LouboutinWorld, but first he would be challenged to create a style so magical, so inventive it would bring the light back to a kingdom.
The Christian Louboutin ‘The Shoemaker and The Stars’ film tells the story of a shoemaker who, like Louboutin himself, takes inspiration from the world around him, his curiosity unbound and extraordinary in its desire for beauty. The Gravitanita, available as a single-sole pump in 100 and 70mm heel heights as well as a flat, all embellished with a celestial mix of star studs and strass on veau velours, plays a central role in the narrative as a powerful object of desire.
