Swooshing off the slopes and straight into a cosy chalet bar for a mulled wine and forkful of fondue is our idea of wintery heaven . This is the snuggly scenario that inspired the Jaeger Après Ski casual range with an archive imagery from the swinging ’60s.
Creative director Sheila McKain-Waid says about the new line, “The Après Ski collection was inspired by vintage 1960s Jaeger editorial and advertorial images. One of my favorite shots was taken by Norman Parkinson and shown at t he recent 100 Years of Vogue exhibition.” Additionally she says, “I loved the strong colors, bold graphics and subtle wit. Our collection was created with the same spirit of modernity and wit. From boldly striped knitwear to neon bright outerwear, these pieces are perfect for brightening grey winter skies.”
From a striped tabard to a wool color-blocked sweater as well as pink cocoon coat, these designs are perfect for a day out on the slopes.
Imagine chunky sweaters in bold colour block designs, luxe joggers and dresses with sporty new zips and trims. Oh, and a rather fabulous pink coat. We like to think of them as stylish pieces for all of your off-duty, off-piste activities – whether you’re heading to the Swiss Alps with family or just heading to your local wine bar with friends.
