This holiday season, the crocodile goes on an unusual journey – an idea that came about after Felipe Oliveira Baptista, the house’s creative director, met Jean-Paul Goude, a celebrated French graphic artist. The former gave the latter carte blanche to design not only the logo on limited-edition polos and leather goods, their packagings and window displays, but also to conceive and create the Lacoste holiday 2016 ad campaign. The result is the iconic crocodile seen through the eyes of Jean-Paul Goude: the imaginary Africa of his childhood, his love of dance and his infatuation with the Bauhaus.
The Lacoste by Jean-Paul Goude collection sees the famous croc landed on a limited-edition collection of polos and leather goods, just in time for the most festive season of all.
The feminine version of the reinterpreted Lacoste polo features its very own unconventional crocodile logo, and is available in classic Lacoste colours. The iconic polo for men is updated with a brand new crocodile logo. Available in both short and long-sleeved version, it makes for a perfectly unique holiday gift. Lacoste by Jean-Paul Goude polos are also available for the youngest urbanites who want to dress up this holiday season. Contemporary bomber jackets for men and women feature redesigned Lacoste logo front and back for a maximum effect. The new playful logo landed on the brand’s favourite Chantaco bag and clutch, creating an ultimate gift to tuck under a Christmas tree.
