The Victoria Victoria Beckham Spring 2017 collection reflects the more laid-back and fun-loving side of the designer, luxuriating in loosely fitted layers and choosing relaxed proportions that casually skim the contours of the body.

The carefree culture and sandy landscapes of Los Angeles form the backdrop for this laid-back mood. While part of the collection opts for a minimalist, monochrome palette, other pieces feature playful patterns and eye-catching embroideries.

The palm trees of Palm Springs are a recurring motif, patch-worked onto sweatshirts and shirts, denim and delicate dresses. An antique map of California, printed onto relaxed linen, plays out over a shorts and shirt twinset.

Garments with utilitarian hardware are softened with fluid fabrics, and customised with emblems such as hummingbirds and Okinawa waves as the Pacific South West is a key reference point. Naval detailing including grosgrain trims, stripes and gold buttons elevates jeans, separates and knitwear. The hummingbird print features across all signature Victoria Victoria Beckham textures, adding depth to layered looks and a new sense of fluidity. Bomber jackets, silk twill shirting and wide legged trousers mix and match for a silhouette that feels fresh.
