The Michael Kors Spring 2017 collection was a powerful romance with crisply tailored jackets and coats juxtaposed with soft fluid dresses, relaxed trousers and flirty skirts.
The collection featured definaed proportions with the strong shoulder, defined waist, extravagantly oversized pullovers, cardigans and trenches, and the shrunken coquette sweater.
The Spring due-like freshness came from romantic bias ruffles, bold florals with intricate 3-d flower embroideries. Th color palette complimented with optimistic hues of aqua, palm, azalea and tangerine mixed with white. There were neutral shades of nutmeg, navy, chambray and sand. Urbane black and white peeked through.
Accessories were classic with a nod to ’70s style with the curved- heel platform sandal, sleek platform wedge, the flatform oxford paired with an oversized clutch, chain-handled bermuda bag, utilitarian-strapped satchel to bring dimension to the soft and airy pieces.
Like his perennial muses Ali MacGraw and Lauren Hutton, the runway show was a star-studded frenzy as Kors’s models offer an elevated take on girl-next-door charm. The runway show was Along with Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Taylor Hill, Cameron Russell, Ondria Hardin, Lexi Boling, Sarah Brannon, Grace Hartzel, and Jamie Bochert walked the collection, making for an all-star overview of American beauty.
