Los Angeles based eyewear label Oliver Peoples has opened its debut European stand alone boutique in the heart of London.
The store, located at 151 Sloane Street and measures approximately 650 square feet, offers Oliver Peoples optical frames and sunglasses. In addition to featuring the brands seasons collections for men and women, the stand alone store will also offer some of its collaborative collections, such as Oliver Peoples x Byredo and Oliver Peoples The Row, as well as a selection of limited custom frames and vintage styles.
The store’s interior was inspired by Schulte take on London and it’s history, built by the Los-Angeles based architects Marmot Radziner. The store in London is darker, featuring original teak and leather furniture, as well as authentic optometry stools. Modern and minimalist setups create an easy atmosphere to relax in and explore the merchandise.
Inside the shop, the eyewear is displayed in an austere, uncluttered way that prevents clients from feeling overwhelmed. As they expand our retail reach, their approach aims to maintain certain brand aesthetics, while also reflecting the neighborhood of the new location.
The overall experience of the customer is personalized, as consultations are based on each customer’s look, wardrobe and lifestyle. Each boutique has an on-site optician who can provide such consultations, as well as custom frame fittings and prescription services.
