Creative Director Sarah Burton and photographer Jamie Hawkesworth decided to embark on a journey of discovery Sharing a mutual love for British nature and wildlife, the trip would begin at the Shetland Islands, the northernmost point of the country.

Featuring Mica Arganaraz and art directed by M/M (Paris), the Alexander McQueen Fall 2016 campaign images are the result of an adventure capturing a young, surreal and intoxicating beauty against the wild and rugged Scottish terrain, and marks a new chapter in McQueen’s longstanding love story with the romantic nature of the British landscape.

The campaign showcases a mix of ethereal pieces based on the theme of “nighttime and dreams”. The dramatic images capture the windswept wildness of the northernmost point of the country, shot mostly in black and white, starrs model Mica Arganaraz. Key looks featured include ghostly black ruffles, sparkling sequins, diamante embroideries, gossamer gowns and nature prints.
