Carefree and feminine, the Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2016 collection is signed in a sixties style with undertones of young British cool. A-line shift dresses, miniskirts and full-length or boyshort jumpsuits capture a sense of British nonchalance, pulled together by high collars or neckties in georgette and lace.
The codes of the house are adapted in graphic and textural dimension. The color palette mixes jet black with mellow tones of opal pink, bottle green, cloud blue, tea rose and jasmine.
Leather accessories explore themes and techniques inspired by lace. Flat shoe variations are elaborated with buckled ankle straps, cutouts and embroideries. Creeper shoes are worn with audacious ease.
Le 31 handbag line is animated with graphic embroidery around its signature jewel-faceted closure while rough stones adorn multi-fingered rings, brooches and necklaces. The ELIE SAAB Pre-Fall 2016 collection is inspired by a London attitude with silhouettes and geometric motifs of a late sixties air du temps.
As the Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2016 collection takes form, styled within the brand’s Parisian headquarters, photographer and blogger Carin Olsson of Paris in Four Months addresses her backstage lens to the collection’s silhouettes and geometric motifs inspired by a London attitude.
