Known for its clean lines and sophisticated aesthetic, Parisian fashion house Sandro and iconic Italian footwear manufacturer Superga have teamed up to create a capsule collection for Spring 2016. Evelyne and Ilan Chetrite, Sandro’s Creative Directors of Women’s and Men’s collections respectively, have come up with three new interpretations of the iconic 2750 for both men and women, creating a total of 6 designs.

The collection includes the world’s first tennis shoe using the technology of vulcanized rubber, which was originally created by Walter Martiny for Superga. Featuring coloured soles and vintage-inspired fabrics, the Sandro x Superga capsule collaboration collection breathes new life into the simple wardrobe staple.

“I wanted to preserve the authenticity of this iconic model in giving it a fresh, colourful twist to suit our daytime wardrobe,” notes Evelyne Chetrite.

The Women’s model retains the minimalist look of the original. This trainer is available in white, off white or navy cotton canvas, respectively paired with a blue, red or burgundy Sun giving a pop of colour to the classic trainers.
