Dolce & Gabbana make every woman’s dream come true turning them into fairy tale princess for the 21^st century.

The Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2016 collection draws inspiration from the princesses from the world of fairy tales, old and new, yet they are interpreted with a contemporary mind set. Today’s princess does not sit in her castle waiting for her prince to rescue her, she steps out in the world and searches for her prince herself.

Familiar symbols of some of our favourite fairy tales announce a fantasy of fabulous fashion and an overall atmosphere inspired by that glittering imagination imbued with magic which has given life to the world of fairy tales.

Thus fairy tale inspired ball gowns make a statement on the runway, as do prince inspired separates, crystal slippers are contrasted with clunky boots and highly decorated minaudieres are swapped with larger trunk like handbags. The patches embroidered on the clothes and motifs in accessories are a hint of the fairy tale inspiration yet are in no way retro o literal, and thus create a fairy tale dream which can become reality for any modern woman.

An ephemeral golden makeup look and hair characterized by coloured fringes, buttons and flowers applied to headbands complete the contemporary princess look of the Fall show.
