Blending Alexander Wang‘s minimalist style with The Weeknd’s signature “XO” logo and album artwork, the duo has released a black-and-white WANGXO capsule collection. Comprised of five pieces, each sporty look manages to perfectly marry The Weeknd’s dark and edgy style with the cool-kid identity of Wang’s signature line.
The Alexander Wang x The Weeknd capsule features a hoodie, T-shirts, bandana and high-top sneaker, all noting various The Weeknd and XO-specific graphics.
The Weeknd has been a part of the designer’s #WANGSquad for some time, and this collaboration is just an extension of their work together. The #WANGXO hashtag actually started back in April, when The Weeknd took over Wang’s Instagram account during Coachella to give the designer’s followers a behind-the-scenes look at the makings of his headlining performance (and also to tease images of a branded bandana). In September, The Weeknd posed for Wang’s “Do Something” campaign. Later that month, he attended Wang’s Spring 2016 runway show.
