Prada Olfactories are potent concoctions of the unexpected, each provoking the surreal, cinematic experience of a partially remembered dream.

Devised as collages of uncanny experiences, they embrace the spirit of mysterious juxtapositions: the feminine faces the masculine, the real encounters the imaginary, the mundane becomes precious.

The ten distinct fragrances by Prada trigger the subconscious mind. United by a disregard for traditions, they are sensory fragments — combining contradictory, counterintuitive elements to provoke fantastical thoughts. The ten editions include Purple Rain, Nue au Soleil, Tainted Love, Un Chant d’Amour, Cargo de Nuit, Heat Wave, Day for Night, Double Dare, Pink Flamingos and Marienbad.

The creations are signed by perfumer Daniela (Roche) Andrier who said that that the scents are all intended to be “a strong vision that is far from cliché. They’re very different from what you’ll find on the market.”

Purple Rain is a modern fragrance of iris, with additional notes of vetiver and neroli. Nue au Soleil is inspired orange blossom dipped in gold, with notes of patchouli. Tainted Love is a reinterpretation of the synthetic smell of lipstick, with accords of violet and musk. Un Chant D’Amour is a calming fragrance of crisp cotton with neroli and musk. Cargo de Nuit is “the scent of a twilight passage on the high seas”, which contains notes of ambrette and cedar. Heat Wave contains scent of night blooming flowers. Day for Night is a rich scent of amber with leather. Pink Flamingos contains fluorescent pink flowers, like Japanese rose, cherry and iris. Double Dare is ascent of leather and suede. Marienbad contains elegant accords of oud, vanilla, amber, leather and incense.
