London model and girl-about-town Poppy Delevingne has teamed with Florence-based luxury footwear label Aquazzura to create an eight-piece capsule collection that will launch in December.
The Aquazurra x Poppy Delevingne collection is a collaboration with Aquazzura’s cofounder and Creative Director, Colombian designer Edgardo Osorio, which takes inspiration from the muse’s globe-trotting lifestyle. The designs include a pair of Aquazzura’s signature laced flats embellished with star and moon motifs, inspired by a pair of Delevingne’s earrings; lace-up heeled sandals in cashmere suede and espadrilles.
Osorio commented: “I’ve always admired Poppy and I love her style — a very English mix of kooky and chic,” he said. Osorio added that he and Delevingne had designed the collection to capture the mood of the model’s wedding to James Cook in Morocco last year, describing the occasion as “mystical and romantic, but interpreted in a way that felt very charming and English.”
Delevingne said: “Each time a new collection is released, I become more attached to the Aquazzura aesthetic,” she said. “I love wearing [Osorio’s] shoes, they always have a sense of humor to them.”
Prices for the collection will run from $595 through $1,450, and the collection will launch for pre-orders on Aquazzura.com in late November.
