Famed soccer player David Beckham stars in a short film for the British brand Belstaff—best known for their rocker-ready leather jackets.
Directed by Geremy Jasper and executively produced by Liv Tyler, The Belstaff Outlaws film also stars Katherine Waterston, Cathy Moriarty and Harvey Keitel. Shot on location in the dusty plains of Mexico, the film follows the story of The Stranger, a mysterious drifter and motorcycle stuntman played by David Beckham, who is haunted by his memories of a beautiful trapeze artist and “hunted by a maniacal director seeking revenge”.
“I always love to challenge myself,” he said in a statement. “Filming Outlaws in the Mexican desert with Belstaff and the Legs team, not to mention working alongside Harvey, Cathy, and Katherine, was an adventure I will never forget.”
The brand has an ongoing relationship with Beckham who has appeared in its ad campaigns, and who has designed two collections for Belstaff, whose origins are in off-road motorcycle sports.
“I’ve had a long relationship with Belstaff, and a successful one, which I’ve enjoyed,” he told Vogue.
