Australian eyewear designer Karen Walker has released a new resort collection and campaign called, ‘Poolside’. The campaign images were photographed by Lorde’s boyfriend, James Lowe who worked under the creative direction of Mikhail Gherman to produce the Resort 2015 ad campaign.

The Karen Walker Poolside collection was inspired by the glam Hollywood swimming pool paintings of English painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer, David Hockney.

“I love the color blocking and the flatness of Hockney’s work as well as the actual colors themselves – the saturated blue on blue on blue!. Also, the way in which he captured the translucency of water I love and that’s why we’ve used very pale lenses in many of the styles,” said Walker.

The sunglasses come in four signature Karen Walker shapes in color blocked watery blues, muted pink and apricot hues. The sunglasses are include a translucent trim with mirrored non-polarized lenses provide a bold touch. Polished arrow emblems accent the temples.
