Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee showed his 2015 couture collection in New Delhi, India this week and grand baroque collection debuted the Christian Louboutin Victoria and Devibroda shoes made exclusively for the show.

His newest couture collection, titled “Bater,” is the first in which Sabyasachi has collaborated with Christian Louboutin. Sabyasachi describes the collaboration as “extremely Parisian footwear with an Indian baroque sensibility.”

Sabyasachi says his shoes usually have a chunkier look, but for this collection he took a more feminine approach. The line features Christian Louboutin’s Devibroda and Victoria styles, with Sabyasachi’s signature acid-dyed burned-sequin embroidery and tea-dyed cotton threads on the heels.

Christian Louboutin himself attended the show on Wednesday. “I loved Sabyasachi’s work from the first time I saw it,” said Louboutin. “His detail-oriented design sensibility is magnetic — it draws you in. I am very happy to collaborate with him for this collection. Not only do I admire his work, but he is also my friend, and I am delighted to be in India for his show!”

“The collaboration is the result of great creative chemistry. It is a beautiful amalgamation – between Christian Louboutin and Sabyasachi,” said the French company.
