To celebrate the launch of the new Mulberry Tessie collection we went into the English countryside to meet international show jumper and namesake Tess Carmichael.

The Tessie collection was inspired by the effortless practicality of our early collections, when each new bag was created with a use in mind. The Mulberry Tessie collection includes a Satchel, Tote and Hobo, crafted from beautiful Soft Grain Leather and finished with understated Mulberry tree hardware. The design was influenced by early saddle bags and equestrian leather pieces and so Hill Farm, home to Tess and her horses (and dogs, and chickens) felt like the perfect location for a Tessie shoot.

As part of our continuing support of British talent, we’re following British show jumper and current brand ambassador Tess Carmichael through this year’s Longines Global Champions Tour. Tess and her horse Unique III (affectionately known around the stables as Brad) will be kitted out in Mulberry style, with branded saddle cloth, rug and stable accessories.

Tess loved horses and riding as a child, but started her adult life aiming for a traditional career in the City. After working for a few years with a successful company, Tess changed her life to pursue her dreams and her talent with a life dedicated to horses in the countryside.
