Inspired by the Cheapside Hoard, the world’s largest collection of Elizabethan and Jacobean jewelry discovered in London in 1912, the Stephen Webster Gold Struck collection is a fine jewelry collection that pays homage to the color, craftsmanship and intrigue of the Hoard while retaining the brand’s signature designer aesthetic.
Webster’s interpretation of those discoveries—cameos, karat gold pendants, and carved emeralds, among others. The whimsical color combinations offset Webster’s signature sharp aesthetic, which includes irregular faceting and lots of tiny rocks orbiting center stones. Gold Struck will pair perfectly with Webster’s other modern, fun offerings like the ombré-colored chevrons in Lady Stardust, and if I could place an order for just one piece, it would be the amethyst and garnet piece for its robust colors and playful vignettes of stones.
