New York based designers Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow releaseed the images and video for the Public School Spring 2015 ad campaign, featuring models Amanda Murphy and Harry Curran. Initially inspired by David Bowie’s iconic Isolar tour program, this season’s campaign is an intimate portrait of a boy and girl creating graphic, bold markings on glass. Shot from the other side of the glass, the effect is voyeuristic and slightly surreal, as we watch them pensively write lines of equations and draw technical diagrams. The film follows the boy and girl as they systematically write lines of mathematical script, progressively layering the scrawlings and scribblings. Their strokes become more free and unrestrained, ending with the boy and girl totally obscured by the mass of black lines on the glass before them, taking us on a journey from order to chaos.
The still campaign was shot in NYC by photographer Greg Harris and the video by Maria Gordillo. Both were styled by Ludivine Poiblanc, with creative direction from Christopher Simmonds.
