Featuring the Diane Von Furstenberg Spring 2015 ad campaign shoot, with the designer herself speaking about the inspiration behind the Riviera collection.
An iconic, mid-century airline terminal brings us back to a time when the epitome of glamour was jetting off to the Côte d’Azur. In seaside-inspired colors and graphic black and white, model Daria Werbowy captures the on-the-go spirit of the collection, Spring 2015: Riviera. Created by New York-based ad agency Laird + Partners, the campaign was styled by Edward Enninful. In addition to featuring some looks from her Ready-To-Wear collection, it also puts her new Voyage Handbag Collection in the spotlight.
It’s impossible to create a collection inspired by the Riviera without revisiting the print so famously worn by glamour goddess Brigitte Bardot and all who aspired to be her. And so the classic checked gingham takes center stage for Spring, with its own DVF twist. Graphic and chic, it stands alone on the Riviera Wrap and its flowing chiffon skirt, and you’ll see it collaged with fresh florals on the season’s breezy chiffon dresses. It also happens to be the perfect scale for work-ready separates and sleek accessories, like travel-ready Voyage Totes and Foldover Pochettes. At once playful and sophisticated, gingham is the print of the moment.
