Jimmy Choo has partnered with British contemporary artist Mat Collishaw to realize the visual story of Vices, a limited edition capsule collection for Resort 2015. Collishaw has interpreted Creative Director, Sandra Choi’s vision for the collection with a dramatic ad campaign starring model Ondria Hardin. Set against a backdrop of commanding crystal obelisks illuminated by an alluring refracted light, Collishaw creates a glittering urban landscape for the Jimmy Choo woman to inhabit.

The campaign shows a glittering crystal metropolis where refracted light reflects the motion, energy and expectation of an urban conurbation at night. The projections on the erupting crystals, mirror and magnify Ondria and the Vices collection, creating hauntingly beautiful imagery that pulses with energy.

“The idea of Vices came about because I wanted to create a highly covetable collection inspired by precious stones. When I looked into each stone I had a form of synaesthesia associating each stone to the personality and energy of different cities I have visited. I wanted someone to bring the story behind the collection to life and I knew Mat had the skill to work not only with light but also to bring a more provocative side to the imagery.” Sandra Choi, Creative Director

“Sandra’s mood boards combined the city at night with gemstones that are interpreted in the collection. I saw a parallel between the glinting color of the stones with the flashing neons, headlights and tower block windows of the city and wanted to bring together the raw natural form of crystals with the man-made geometric shapes of high rises, so the two become almost indistinguishable.” Mat Collishaw
