After mastering perfume and make-up, Dolce & Gabbana continue to conquer the cosmetic world with the launch of two skincare lines that are set to shine.

For  Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana “beautiful skin creates an attractive aura”, which is why the pair decided, with the image of Italian beauties in mind, to create a cream that leaves the skin more radiant and rested. The aim was to combine gold extracts with a cocktail of amino acids and polypeptides for silk-soft skin with cells working at their optimum ability leaving the skin radiant and fresh. Mission accomplished with Aurealux, the first line of five illuminating treatments including a cream, serum, organic face-mask, lotion and eye gel. The second Essential collection focuses on totally cleansing the skin and preparing the face for beauty treatments. As if by magic, light will ricochet off your radiant skin into the eyes of admiring onlookers.

“There’s an elegance to how the products have been formulated – it’s the marriage of the designers’ vision with the scientific know-how of the P&G prestige labs. The line has clout and credibility,” said Dr Samantha Bunting, the renowned dermatologist who is the ambassador for the brand. “The textures are fantastic, it has plausible and realistic claims and it’s a comprehensive and cohesive line. The amount of in-vitro and in-vivo tests, random assessments and blind trials that they’ve done are staggering.”

Available in select stores in September, the lines ranges in price from $35 to $169.
