British designer Anya Hindmarch has just launched her first app – ‘Pix by Anya’ – allowing you to take a photograph and pixelate, an Anya Hindmarch filter so to speak.
This launching simultaneous to the first drop (pixal pieces) of the Fall 2016 collection in stores and the first campaign image, – all inspired by the show in September which was an exploration of pixals, from the show set to the product.
In a break with tradition, Anya Hindamrch is kicking off the seasonal campaign now rather than with the traditional Runway drop in September and support it with an App. The bag that is featured in these first campaign images was the first look on the catwalk and is now available in store.
Inspired by 8-bit graphics and the origins of digital art, the Fall 2016 collection was brought to life in a pixel-inspired show and artful pixelated seasonal campaign. Now you can create and share your own pixelated artwork using the accompanying PIX by Anya app. Don’t forget to share your finished artwork using #PIXbyAnya so the brand can repost their favourites.
