By combining the athleisure trend with denim, the Rag & Bone Pre-Fall 2016 collection lent to light and full of transitional layers athletic references — baseball and track, specifically. A chicly sporty strapless jumpsuit had a track-pant stripe down the side. Crisp blue-and-white striped shirts — one a button-down, another off the shoulder — were a subtle hybrid of old-school baseball uniforms and classic men’s shirts. Tidy jackets included a suede bomber and there were cropped, wide-leg pants in denim.

Marcus Wainwright said that going forward, collections will reflect the increasingly global nature of their business. “It makes you think about the temperature and the world,” he said. “We have to have everything at all times.”

The gems in this low-key collection were the elevated yet offhanded denim separates making it easy to transition from season to season with such a staple, especially mastered by Rag & Bone.
