Together, the third The North Face x Cecilie Bahnsen collection is a more modular approach to performance wear, and is rooted in adaptability, of form, of function, of feeling. Designed with warmer days in mind, the pieces reflect an instinctive way of dressing.
Technical garments are pared back and softened. Shapes shift, layer, and transform, bringing new expression to the practical. Across garments and accessories alike, Bahnsen’s romantic codes meet the logic of utility in unexpected ways. “At this stage in our collaboration, it feels like we’ve really found a rhythm,” says Cecilie Bahnsen. “This season was about lightness, not just in weight, but in spirit. Pieces that can change with you, that feel intimate and easy, even in their precision.”
The collaboration builds on an ongoing exploration of modularity, offering designs that evolve throughout the day. A floral-printed ripstop jacket with zip-off sleeves becomes a vest. Matching trousers convert to shorts. This group features a printed flower motif that appears throughout the wider Spring collection, creating a subtle point of continuity between the collaboration and the season’s broader narrative. A second group in olive-toned embossed ripstop introduces new takes on wind protection: a pullover cinched at the waist and a long hybrid coat that falls with sculptural softness.
Accessories extend this language of contrast. A reworked duffel backpack becomes architectural in its structure, while the Maria clutch, crafted in white ripstop and clipped with a floral-shaped carabiner, offers a study in delicacy within the technical. A single footwear style completes the capsule: the “shandal,” a hybrid between sandal and shoe, finished with Cecilie Bahnsen’s signature floral appliqué. The result is light and grounded at once. Rather than mimic function, these pieces are built to hold it, softly and instinctively. The collection marks a subtle shift from previous chapters: less alpine, more ephemeral.
The seven-piece collection features the Marlowe Pullover Wind Jacket, Emma Long Wind Mountain Jacket, Tenzin Convertible Jacket, Carla Convertible Pant, Anna Base Camp Duffel, Maria Translucent Base Camp Clutch, all in Forest Night Green, and TNF x CB Saçdal in Forest Night Green/TNF White.
