REPOSSI 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE HISTORIC FLAGSHIP AT PLACE VENDÔME IN PARIS

The Maison has flourished at its landmark Place Vendôme address, earning its place among the world’s great High Jewelry houses.

Founded in Turin in 1957, Maison Repossi celebrates this year the 40th anniversary of its historic flagship at 6 Place Vendôme, inaugurated in 1986. Gaia Repossi entrusted the renovation of the historic boutique in 2016 to renowned architect Rem Koolhaas, transposing the principles that define its design jewelry language into space, repetition and rigor of line, the radicality of the gesture, and the play of accumulation.

A leading figure in contemporary architecture, Rem Koolhaas transforms the world of Repossi through a conceptual and ultra-modern space that breaks with traditional design codes. At the heart of the boutique, a spectacular sculptural staircase connects the different levels. On the ground floor, the mirror billboard is the central element of the space, dividing the space into three distinct atmospheres through a system of pivoting triangular panels: copper, mirror, and aluminum. On the upper floor, the combination of semi-reflective metal and glass walls frame two arched windows overlooking Place Vendôme, filling the space with light. The basement is distinguished by a cozy and intimate atmosphere, created by radiant mirrors and orange-pink resin walls, offering an exclusive setting for high jewelry customers.

Mirrors in unique shades, developed in collaboration with Dutch artist and designer Sabine Marcelis, introduce subtle degrees of reflection and chromatic refractions. The luminous pink gradients and smoky blue mirrors envelop the boutique in an aura that is both sensory and contemporary.

This year, Repossi continues its dialogue between architecture, design, and jewelry through a new artistic collaboration with Sabine Marcelis, paying tribute to the bold concept of the boutique renovation in 2016, explored in its iconic Antifer collection.

The luminous gradients of the mirrors designed by Sabine Marcelis inspired the creation of the Antifer Vendôme ring, a new four-row reinterpretation of the iconic design. Available in four shades of gold with subtle gradations, the ring celebrates color as a precious material.

To accompany the launch, Repossi presents six new creations in the Antifer collection. For the first time, asymmetrical semi-pavé rings come together to accentuate the geometric dimension of these jewelry compositions. The Maison’s signature four-row and two-row rings, as well as a new two-row earlobe cuff, are available in semi-pavé rose gold. The four-row earcuff is available in white gold as well as semi-pavé rose gold and black gold. Each piece is hand-set in the Maison’s historic workshops in Italy.
