For the Christian Dior Fall 2026 RTW collection, a walk in the park becomes a procession as fleeting glances and chance encounters take place against a backdrop of statues, fountains and carefully-patterned parterres.

“This collection is about the constant flow of ideas that is so typical of Parisian life, and the spectacle of the everyday,” said Jonathan Anderson.

The collection features balloon pants, flowered lamé fabrics; a nod to the 18th-century frock coats with waterfall collars in shearling or made entirely of crisp lace. This season sees multiple variations on the Bar jacket. One in gilded lamé, looped up at one side and trimmed with shearling. One worn with pale denim jeans, embroidered over with a silvery scalloped pattern.

The panoply of Parisians presents itself, consciously or not – each with a different attitude, each dressed to play a part, whether mundane or spectacular. The fizz of the city is replicated within the bounds of the garden. Flashes of color from their clothes melt into the patterned parterres.

The Fall collection considers the enduring theatre of Parisian life and the timeless role of fashion within it. Exceptional craft create apparitions of nature. Flowers bloom in the cold.
