For Pre-Fall 2026, Christopher Esber looks inward to lived memory and outward to youth culture, locating tension and nuance in the emotional space between generations.

That inherited calm is disrupted by youth, shaped by suburban streets, bedrooms, car parks and the spaces in between. Skate references, sportswear codes, and instinctive styling introduce a rebellion felt through movement and wear. Tweeds, tartans and flannels shift from tradition to ease, while oversized proportions recall hand me downs; altered, tied, and worn with the casual logic of the street.

Shoelaces emerge as a defining motif. Hand woven in Italy, they act as belts, closures and structural details, weaving through suiting, shirting and trousers. Belt loops become laces. Tailoring is adjusted through ties, and shoelaces are developed into artisanal fabrics that fall, split and move across the body. Sun faded jacquards echo curtains bleached by years of light, rendered in lilac and yellow tones. Lace appears delicate and eroded. Silver lace references aged pewter, grounding softness with weight.

Sportswear silhouettes are explored across translucent technical fabrics, suiting, leather and distressed textiles. Culottes offer a youthful proportion, functioning as both skirt and trouser. Zip up forms, jersey stripes and utilitarian cuts are softened with lace, georgette and draped constructions.

Trench coats become bombers and skirts. Tailoring is deconstructed and reassembled. Dresses drape like curtains, pulled aside to reveal layered lengths beneath. Curtain rods inspire sculptural tops that sweep across the body, while fringe necklines reinterpret interior trims through a modern technique.

Balancing femininity with function, the collection introduces hybrid pieces. Shorts are built into bodices. One piece forms blur traditional categories. The result is a collection that feels worn, reshaped, and reimagined through time, where care and rebellion coexist.
