Spanning two floors and 988m2, the newly redesigned space at the Yorkdale Shopping Center becomes the largest Chanel boutique in Canada, offering an enhanced client experience and an expanded selection of Ready-to-Wear, bags, footwear, accessories, sunglasses and Watches & Fine Jewelry.
Designed by renowned architect and long-time Chanel collaborator Peter Marino, the new boutique beautifully interprets the aesthetic codes of the House, combining architectural precision with refined artistry. The space pairs Chanel’s emblematic black and white tones with warm gold accents, creating an inviting ambiance that evokes the spirit of a modern yet timeless Parisian townhouse.
At the entrance, an impressive double-height façade welcomes guests, and a grand staircase in contrasting textures of black lava stone and luminous white marble leads to a new upper level. The upper level, bathed in warm light, consists of expansive salons dedicated to Ready-to-Wear and footwear, as well as a brand-new private VIP salon. The rooms are illuminated by two Goossens gilded bronze and rock crystal chandeliers and feature an antique limestone mantelpiece dating back to the Louis XV period. On the ground floor, clients are welcomed into three spacious accessory salons, presenting the season’s latest Ready-to-Wear collections, along with bags, as well as sunglasses, small leather goods and costume jewelry.
In a first for Toronto, the boutique welcomes High Jewelry creations housed in a special salon with an intimate seating area set off with Goossens wheat-motif table lamps and a Regence Giltwood mirror.
Through a vestibule displaying an oil and casein drawings by artist Jill Moser, clients can experience Canada’s first “Chanel & Moi”, a space dedicated to the House’s commitment to offer the ultimate care, repair and alteration services to revive and preserve the uniqueness of each Chanel creation.
