The Magic Alhambra aesthetic reinterprets Van Cleef & Arpels’ icon of luck in creations with an asserted style through an asymmetrical arrangement of different-sized motifs, a signature of the collection, that lends movement and dynamism to the pieces.
Finalizing the piece’s design required numerous artistic iterations, with particular attention paid to the sequence and distribution
of different-sized motifs. The length of the chain sections was carefully studied to balance the fall of the piece and its overall harmony. The attachments of the central motif allow it to fall elegantly on the chest, while the clasps that ensure the transformations remain hidden behind the neck.
These new jewelry creations captivate the eye with elegant color combinations, blending ornamental stones and organic materials. On one, the delicacy of rose gold combines with the iridescence of white and gray mother-of-pearl. On another, the bluish nuances of chalcedony converse with the brilliance of white gold and the luster of white mother-of-pearl. The guilloché pattern illuminates the ensemble with an interplay of lines that radiate, allowing light to circulate with intensity. The collection’s emblematic beaded contour adds a rounded relief to the finish.
