This holiday season, Oribe‘s celebration of craftsmanship and exceptional artistic talent comes to life in collaboration with multidisciplinary Finnish artist, Kustaa Saksi.

“Oribe’s holiday collaboration originated from a desire to bring surprise and delight to our consumers by elevating secondary packaging from a functional box into an artistic canvas to showcase our brand value of craftsmanship and embrace our culture of storytelling as makers. This year, we were drawn to Kustaa’s shared connection with beauty, nature and the threads that connect us all,” said Jennifer Smith, Vice President of Product Creation.

Saksi’s design for Oribe’s four limited-edition gift sets, titled “Golden Threads,” is a woven masterpiece that draws from the iconic black and cream design of Oribe’s best-selling Gold Lust Collection and the Oribe Goddess emblem. The emblem’s design, in turn, inspired Saksi’s interpretation of Norse mythology, particularly his depiction of the Norse goddess Sif’s golden, flowing hair. “Her hair is a symbol of everything the earth provides to us,” says Saksi. “It’s that mix of beauty, change and nature that inspired this piece.” Through meticulous technique and vivid storytelling, Oribe celebrates the essence of nature’s beauty and the enduring power of craft.

For Saksi, the medium of weaving allows him to express his fascination with pattern and detail, crafting tapestries that feel almost alive: “Attention to detail has always been so important to me,” he says, “and that is something the Oribe team and I share: a love of craftsmanship. We both create work that uses layering, texture and precision to create something really special.”
