The Acne Studios flagship store in Tokyo features a striking new three-story flagship store stealing the limelight. The brand’s creative director Jonny Johansson collaborated with Halleröd, a Stockholm-based architecture practice and longtime collaborator.

The store backdrop is the Swedish brand’s signature pink granite, captured by walls, flooring, some furnishings and fixtures, and all playfully paired with highly artistic sofas, obviously crafted in matching pink leather and fabric by London-based artist and designer Max Lamb, and contrasting sleek light fixtures by Benoît Lalloz, a designer and artist based in Paris.

Further boosting the store’s artistic vibe is Johansson’s collaboration with Japanese ceramicist Takuro Kuwata, which has not only resulted in colour-infused ceramic objects on display in the store’s basement, but also him creating a capsule collection of reinterpreted Acne Studios pieces which includes denim pieces, bags and small leather goods.

The Acne Studios flagship store carries men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, bags, shoes, jewellery pieces and eyewear.
