“Afrofuturism felt like the perfect lens to express this collection with. This collection speaks of to the intersection of sportswear and fashion and how those two worlds coexist. For me, fashion has always been about self-expression and embracing all the different parts of yourself. That’s what this collection embraces – an exploration of identity, versatility and expression,” said Lewis Hamilton.

Embracing extremes, from the sartorial to the casual, traditional to the technical, theatrical to the measured, a universe of self-transcendence unites the ideas of afrofuturist aesthetics with the house’s heritage. A distinct approach to tailoring takes place in the collection. Silhouettes vary from oversized and boxy to fitted and trim, with a streamlined and comfortable attitude to all. Slouchy knits, sweats and shirting contrast with the technical rigor of pigment printed and lasered reflective materials making up contemporary track suiting.

Accessories echo this approach, spanning both the traditional and the technical in an expression of the new savoir-faire. Signature derbys and work boots utilize washed velvet and canvas while an array of b44 sneakers with colorful tones decorated with playful laces. The bags themselves mix ideas of sporting functionality with playful extravagance, while rooted in sustainable materiality.
