The Zimmermann Resort  2026 collection reimagines pirate folklore through the soft-focus lens of modern romance.

“Cruise 26 is inspired by nostalgic pirate adventures and the flamboyance of the New Romantics. A treasure trove of nostalgia is given fresh interpretation through fluid fabrics, dynamic shapes and illustrative prints to capture a carefree mood. We played a lot with contrast — floaty silks against structured denim, delicate lace paired with sharp tailoring,” said Creative Director, Nicky Zimmermann.

Visual references come from classic pirate movies and old-world adventure books like Treasure Island, where illustrations, imagined scenes, and maritime symbols provide rich inspiration. The spirit of the New Romantic movement adds depth, with dramatic silhouettes, an embrace of expressive style over minimalism, and subtle defiance.

Voluminous sleeves, bold ruffles, draped, billowing silhouettes, and corset details bring drama. Nautical stripes, raw-cut frills, military brocade, and maritime prints reinforce the theme. Vintage-style cartographic prints — complete with mythical sea creatures — drift across silk georgette, cut to move like water. Shell-like shapes frame collars and sleeves, while airy skirts trail seaweed-like strands. Rose detailing on collars and waistbands, paired with wide-leg pants, nods to sailor-inspired dressing.

Textured silk-linen organza in airy shapes is layered with intricate hand-cut flowers, adding dimension. Brass buttons, oversized cuffs, and high-collared hussar jackets worn with floaty dresses bring a flamboyant energy. Understated linen is textured with cording panels.  Fresh signatures emerge in original lace artwork, unique oceanographic map prints, a new silhouette in silk organza, and directional denim.
