In January 2023, Chanel is making Rouge Allure Velvet the gold standard for lipstick with 20 hues lay the foundation for a new, essential shade range, designed to showcase every personality and complement every skin tone.

Plunging even deeper into the world of red, Chanel has also made this hue the focus of its Sprign 2023 makeup collection, creating various tones and used them to compose harmonies, in turn subtle and intense, natural and bold.

Designed to bring out each one of a woman’s many facets, this new array is centered around the six iconic shades of Rouge Allure Velvet: soft Libre (62) and Abstrait (69), La Favorite (43), a coral with fuchsia accents, Rouge Charnel (56), a “true red”, Rouge Feu (57), a red orange, and Rouge Vie (58), a dusty red. From those shades, 14 rich color variations—meticulously crafted tones and undertones—play out like the notes of a scale, ranging from soft and delicate beige and rosewood all the way to intense crimson.

Its formula contains ultra-fine pigments, for intense and long-wearing color. It also includes pearly pigments, giving each velvety satin shade an unprecedented luminous quality. Full-coverage yet sensuous, it is infused with castor oil and shea butter, which have emollient properties and guarantee comfortable application and wear.
