The Tom Ford Spring 2023 RTW collection took a step back in time, revisiting the ‘70’s style that propelled Ford as a force during his tenure at Gucci.

Tracksuits turned into lingerie which turned into evening gowns in a dynamic collection that encapsulated clothing for every occasion. Embroidered cowboy-esque button-downs met with leather bottoms and athletic-cut shorts, while athletic wear was shiny in nature and hardly practical for actual use. Sharply tailored suit jackets sat atop strappy bras and low-rise hot shorts, a sort of visual oxymoron to the traditional pairings of both designs.

Textures were utilized meticulously throughout the collection with glossy leather, delicate embroidery, and an abundance of sequins to add movement and glamor to vintage-inspired silhouettes. Skin-baring mesh and lace added a sultry feel to tops, skirts, and lingerie while contrarily, matching sets provided unpresuming style and silky jumpsuits cascaded down the body in a modest yet sensual way.
