Designer Gabriele Colangelo‘s signature minimalist construction is highlighted in the Resort 2021 collection, built around a verticality of lines to achieve a lean, pure silhouette.
The collection features elongated silhouette for below-the-knee dresses paired with pants on the ground, now soft now hold by jeweled spheres on the ankles. Trench coats with cut-out details show the back and arms with discretion. Meanwhile, mini tank dresses and skirts are paired with tailored blazers with sartorial details on the pockets and collars.
Maxi stripes are mixed with segments, acquarelli drawings dissolved in water as painting by the designer hand, a new reinterpretation of the tye die, twisted around the body with elasticized stitching.
Fluidity and architecture for fabrics combine light wools, diagonal twill viscous, raw linen with visible selvedges, chemisier in soft nappa, bermuda shorts and wide trousers, georgette for men’s shirts and tube skirts.
A chromatic palette gives way to bright white, chalk and camel to brown and blue with accents of light green and orange.
