MICHAEL KORS SPRING 2021 RTW COLLECTION

A plethora of earth-toned hues and layered monochromatic pairings are a breath of fresh air in Michael Kors’ latest collection.

October 19, 2020

Sensual and relaxed, with an emphasis on laid-back luxury, the Michael Kors Spring 2021 RTW collection features artisanal textures and earthy shades that remind us of the joy of getting dressed.

The spring awakening features laid-back luxury, sensual and relaxed with artisanal textures…craftsmanship, quality and investment. The collection is versatile with reversing roles of pajamas, robes, caftans, sarongs and pareos with an urbane edge.

Dégagé tailoring includes blazers, trenches, shirts, trousers and balmacaans with a softer sensibility. Cozy knitwear is with sheer linens and soft silks. Liquid charmeuse and classic menswear plaids and pinstripes are crushed for an offhand attitude. Earthy hand-embroidery, faux tortoiseshell paillettes, hand-cut leather sequins and natural wood beads.

Warm shades of wheat, sand, ecru, hemp, chestnut and mahogany take over the lineup mixed with cool shades of smoke, granite and pearl. There are optimistic tones of lawn, lake and sea and essential black and white.

Luxe hand-crafted accessories continue to take the spotlight with a woven hobo and minaudière along with a hand-knit envelope clutch and straw basket tote. Meanwhile, for footwear, rugged slides and sandals projects the ease of the Spring collection.

Director Haley Elizabeth Anderson goes behind the scenes to explore Michael’s enduring love for New York City as well as his inspiration for the season—to the tune of a one-of-a-kind performance by American Idol winner Samantha Diaz.
