Building on the brand’s inaugural collection, the Room 502 Serie 2 collection introduces 6 utilitarian, timeless, and seasonless pieces to elevate the modern woman’s wardrobe.
The Serie 2 drop adds two new dress styles and a modern take on a poet blouse, available in versatile and flattering prints and colours. The Bianca shirtdress, inspired by Spanish-French Choreographer and dancer Bianca Li, includes thoughtful tailoring details such as hidden pockets with a silhouette that creates an ease of movement and effortless chic. The Jeanne dress, inspired by Jeanne Moreau an icon of French New Wave Cinema, presents a chic chemise silhouette with a Nehru style collar and delicate hand-made details. Reflecting ROOM 502’s ethos of timelessness and impeccable craft, each essential piece from Serie 2 transcends seasonality and can be styled with casual elegance this summer, or layered come fall.
“Room 502 is more than just fashion or beautiful clothing,” says Theallet. “Steve and I wanted to create a brand that reflects how we live today while addressing the industry’s issue of overproduction and excessive waste and consumption. By respecting the craft and everyone involved in the making of Room 502, and merging old-school techniques with a modern approach, we are proud to be offering responsibly-made couture-quality timeless essentials at an accessible price point.”
Launched in late August 2019, Montreal-based Room 502 takes its name from the apartment Theallet and Francoeur shared in New York City’s iconic Chelsea Hotel in the late 1990’s. Inspired by Theallet’s craft and vision, Room 502 takes a modern and democratic approach to luxury, fusing American pragmatism with the savoir-faire of French couture at an accessible price point. Answering the growing demand for responsible consumption, Theallet’s well-tailored and finely crafted designs are Fair Trade certified – created using ethically sourced materials, production and labor.
