The inspiration behind the Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2020 collection is an exotic cruise across faraway seas, setting sail from Capri’s Faraglioni to reach adventurous destinations.
The same imaginative spirit turns the new Pucci prints into a plethora of undulating, dreamy, swirling motifs, where the classic logo seems to dissolve into micro-patterns.
New geometric-shaped dresses are modern updates on the famous Marilyn dress. Proportions and volumes are reinterpreted; inventive asymmetries adjust to the body easily. Alternatively, a more body-con silhouette is enhanced with innovative stretching and seamless jacquard fabrics, inspired by a sophisticated sportswear style.
The collection’s seductive allure is also highlighted by the sinuous décolletages of feminine ruffled bustier dresses; a modern sense of glamour is suggested by the new micro-sequined pyjama-tuxedos, where classic trousers are unexpectedly replaced by pleated miniskirts. A black viscose jumpsuit is an option for evening, its embroidered chiffon cape-sleeves shimmering like the sea under a midnight moon.
The Dora bag becomes a collector’s item with the addition of a changeable printed foulard, wrapped around the cross-body shoulder strap. The same decorative and versatile spirit is perceived in the new version of the Vera clutch made in soft nappa, in the Virginia mini tote as well as in the Margherita hobo bag, cheerfully practical in their bright block-color combinations.
