The French designer has entrusted the internationally renowned photographer, Juergen Teller, with the Isabel Marant Fall 2019 season’s campaign, featuring an all-star cast.
“Plus chic, plus dressy,” Isabel Marant is reported to have said describing her Fall 2019. Speakers of French and anyone with a feel for mathematics will intuit Marant’s message with its obvious emphasis on more. That emphasis carries through in the corresponding advertising campaign that features Anna Ewers, Binx Walton and Cara Taylor. This campaign features three looks, all drawn from the same neutral palette.
Set against the backdrop of a wintry Jardin des Tuileries, replete with denuded trees, the campaign is a refreshing departure from an increasingly noisy world. More chic, more dressy, Binx and Cara certainly make good on both declarations. These American models can all be seen posing outdoors between two rows of manicured trees.
The campaign showcases pieces from the Isabel Marant Fall 2019 collection, designed with travel in mind and with a touch of Parisian elegance. There are also plenty of references to the 1980s, notably with big shoulders. With its various shades of gray and beige, the collection’s neutral color palette is in perfect harmony with the campaign setting.
