HERMÈS FALL 2019 RTW COLLECTION FILM
The Fall collection spotlights the timeless appeal of a classic wardrobe, transcended by materials, cuts and equestrian details.
June 18, 2019
The Hermès Fall 2019 collection is all about functional and supremely elegant pieces that play on proportions and sophisticated materials, and feature subtle details from the equestrian universe.
Belted coats, supple dresses, structured parkas: every piece in the collection echoes specific areas of know-how from the equestrian universe. Diverted from their original purpose, a buckle or a strap become essential details. Each one of them is enhanced by contrasting materials or graphic effects. Comfortable and protective, parkas and jackets offer a play on dimensions, with sophisticated cuts that bring a touch of elegance to winter.
The choice of materials, double-face cashmere or water-repellent calfskin, heightens the enveloping yet light sensation. Studs are applied manually to leather one by one to form the collection’s pivotal design, Clou Médor Constellation. Like a sky randomly studded with stars.
For the Hermès Fall 2019, velvet embroidery accentuates the high waist of a lambskin skirt, and silk jacquard printed with the Cordelière design on a dress with wide shoulder straps reveals the subtle splendour of sophisticated references to the equestrian universe. Silk takes on a feline appearance, with this shirt-dress in Veronese-green silk and cashmere knit, cut from five 90×90 scarves in silk twill printed with the Jungle Love Rainbow design.
