On location in Washington Heights, New York, the Woolrich Fall 2018 ad campaign featuring Lauryn Hill focuses on a collaboration between the singer and American brand.
The songstress’ album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ also celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and gets spotlighted in the collaborative pieces. Photographer Jack Davison captures Lauryn in cold weather looks including hooded jackets, buffalo plaid coats and fur trims styled by Mel Ottenberg.
Working with United Talent Agency for the partnership, Hill created custom pieces for the collection, many of which reference her early start in music in her native New York. The singer came up with 30 jacket sketches and has been customizing her clothes for some time.
The Silverton Coat features the album artwork from her critically acclaimed record ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’, while the arctic parka features jeweling and text-prints on the shoulder pads and sleeves. Elsewhere the singer wears Woolrich’s trademark checks, workwear, denim, and outerwear pieces, revamped for Fall.
