Top models set the record straight on how to pronounce "Versace".

July 20, 2018

Shot by Steven Meisel, the Versace Fall 2018 ad campaign features the longest-ever advertising image.

Side by side, the never-before-seen image features a cast of fifty-four models symbolizing inclusivity and diversity, key values for Donatella Versace and her vision for the brand.

Fifty-four models pose in the label’s campaign which is punctuated with a cheeky video clip. Adut Akech, Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid and Donatella Versace each teach the public how to properly pronounce the Italian name.

“My team doesn’t just extend to my work team,” said Donatella Versace in an official statement. “The Versace Clans are made of all members of the Versace family — from customers to models, fans, photographers, stylists, friends, artists and all who believe that staying relevant means moving forward and making your voice heard — all who believe that fashion is not a way to just say ‘look at me’ but rather ‘look at me, I have something to say.'”

For added emphasis the entire cast of models go on to form the letters of the brand’s name in a huge human-sized text logo. The expansive image represents the values of inclusivity and diversity that Donatella has championed.
