CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC PRE-FALL 2018 AD CAMPAIGN
Calvin Klein explores artistic creativity with a Pre-Fall campaign filled with prints and patterns.
May 25, 2018
The American Fashion House’s collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation remains front and center for the Calvin Klein 205w39NYC Pre-Fall 2018 ad campaign. Shot by Willy Vanderperre, the collection’s campaign is set against the brand’s now-signature rustic barn backdrop, featuring a series of printed styles in a continued collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation.
Against a backdrop of wood paneling and metal walls, models Julia Nobis and Mica Arganaraz pose in the new season designs.
In the campaign, models are seen wearing Pre-Fall designs lined with Pendleton Woolen Mills textiles and holding saddle blankets (Pendleton is another brand partner) against Warhol prints of florals, the American flag, and empty rooms in either black and white or oversaturated colors. Warhol’s work is found printed on the clothes, too, from bags to tank tops, but the pop artist’s spirit really shines through in the makeup of the clothing, like suiting reimagined in polyester or a deconstructed American flag.
Warhol prints can be seen against a metal screen. Outerwear takes the spotlight with puffer jackets, colorful knitwear and plaid coats. Styled by Olivier Rizzo, the advertisements focus on bold color combinations as well as statement bags.
This latest collaboration between Calvin Klein and Andy Warhol continues to show Simons’ vision of Americana through an artful, yet grounded lens.
