The Elie Saab Spring 2019 bridal collection of wedding dresses was inspired by the opulence and refinement of the “Bal de Vienne,” a tradition in Austrian high society, and took over the penthouse at the Plaza to present a lineup of classic gowns fit for grand occasions.

Ball gowns ruled this Viennese themed collection, which drew inspiration from Empress Sissi. Capes, embroidery and regal full skirted brides made for an awe-inspiring collection of wedding dresses.

The gowns featured plenty of lacework, beading, and intricate sequins. From the delicate seams on a pristine satin dress to the 3-D flowers cascading down a bodice into layers of sweeping tulle, Saab gave each number a dynamic element. Each flourish elevated the traditional into something extraordinary.
